Sorry I didn’t post anything on Monday, but I was just completely drained from my Vancouver trip. I absolutely loved visiting family and friends, but I also know those types of trips mean a schedule that is jam packed! I am so looking forward to this weekend so I can just relax and sleep as much as I want. I know the flight from Vancouver to Toronto isn’t that long, but I definitely get jet lagged each way (I guess I’m just getting old).
Well, this is week 3 since my podcast officially launched and I am seriously pretty frickin’ excited about it. I’ve been getting some really great feedback and the coolest thing is listeners (yes, I’m talking about you) are totally getting the whole vibe I was going for. I wanted it to feel like you were listening to a few friends chatting about money and just being totally open and honest about everything. So far, I think that’s what I’ve accomplished, which definitely gives me that much more drive to keep interviewing awesome people and pushing out more top quality episodes.
Remember, if you leave me a review on iTunes or Stitcher, I’ll give you a shout out on a future episode. And if you’re a blogger or have a website, make sure to include the name or link in either your username or review and I’ll link to you in the show notes of one of my episodes.
Besides trying to reset my body’s biological clock, I’m gonna start working out again. I’ve been working out on and off since Christmas and it’s definitely becoming obvious. I pulled out some of my summer shorts the other day and it was not okay. So, it’s back to my TurboFire workouts and writing down everything I eat. I need to just keep reminding myself of how good I felt last summer when I was so strict with working out and eating well. I felt so positive, energetic and all around good about life. I want to feel like that again, but it means putting in a ton of work and setting aside my weeknights to do it.
For next week, I’m very excited to share that Wednesday’s podcast episode will feature Bridget from Money After Graduation. We’ll be talking about her relationship with money growing up, going to university (twice!), and her passion for investing in the stock market.
Before I end this off, I wanted to put it out there that I’m interested in accepting some guest posts on the blog! I don’t really publicize that I accept guest posts, but as my HB told me the other day, with the podcast just launching and trying to maintain the blog, I need a bit of help. I know there are a ton of awesome bloggers out there, so please email me if you’re interested. You don’t necessarily have to be a personal finance blogger, as long as you’re post is about some of the topics I cover in either my blog or podcast. And just an fyi, I won’t be accepting just any guest posts. I’m pretty picky about the content that goes up on here. I’m looking for high quality content, so if your email to me includes any bad grammar or typos, it’s just not gonna happen.
On that note, have a fabulous weekend everyone, and see you back here on Monday with a fresh new blog post from yours truly!
